Voreda are pleased to announce the completion of the Molecular Science Research Hub and the Translation and Innovation Hub at Imperial College’s White City Campus. Construction of the buildings, formally known as the Research and Translation Hub, commenced in 2014. The Hub forms the centrepiece of Imperial College London’s new innovation district in White City, West London, now known as White City Campus.
The 48,000 sqm facility includes high specification multidisciplinary research for 1,000 scientists and engineers, in addition to 50 scalable units for university and industry spinouts and ventures. It will deliver world-class education, research and translation activities, and foster partnerships with global stakeholders from business, industry, higher education and the NHS.
The project contractors, Laing O’Rourke, officially handed the building over to Imperial College at the beginning of August 2016. Collaboration was a key focus throughout the process, and this achievement marks the continued success of the partnership between Imperial and Voreda.
Voreda look forward to working with Imperial College again on the construction and delivery of the 35 storey White City Campus Tower, which will provide 192 PRS apartments for both the private market and Imperial College Key Workers.
